A recent study conducted by Dr Jamie Mawhinney on behalf of the NHS confirmed that Major Incident plan preparedness was worse than in 2006.

Looking further, the study also showed that;

• 47% of those asked did not know where the Major incident Plan was
• 37% weren’t sure what they were required to do if a Major incident was declared
• 27% did not know at all what they were supposed to do
